Taithal-Ki
They were at one time the same race as the Thaithal, with nothing
really special about them, until an incident that caused a split in the race.
There was a strange break out, of which the cause is still unknown, that alter
the genetics of a group of Taithal. The change caused them to gain some telepathic
abilities, and the ability to shape shift into one other creature. Each is a
little different depending on what animal that was around and had their genes
fused with them.
Some speculate that this was no incident, that this was intended, because afterwards,
the Taithal-ki considered themselves to be of a higher degree than their Therian
brothers. They spend their time tormenting others that they consider to be inferior.
